Speaking in the meeting with environmental experts in Dar es salaam , Jafo said that the government entirely depends on their expertise.
He said the objective of the conference was to build capacity and adopt newly created environmental guidelines.
The Minister said Environment Impact Assessment is very important for the benefit of investors as well as our environment .
Jafo called on the experts to be on the frontline in providing environment advice to the investors so that they can have productive and beneficial investments.He urged the environmentalists to make sure that the environment is not deteriorated due to social activities.
For his part, the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) Director General Dr. Samuel Gwamaka said that initially there were regulations for guiding experts on the environment that had been abolished, adding that they had created new regulations starting effectively March 19, 2021.
He further called on to adhere to the environmental principles, laws and regulations such as registering their projects .
