The bank’s Managing Director, Theobald Sabi said last weekend during a dinner party hosted in Dar es Salaam for its customers to solicit their feedback on the bank’s products that a lot more innovative products are on the way.
Sabi said NBC, which has been in the market for 50 years, is poised to introduce in the market innovative products that augur with current customer needs hence retaining its status as the best provider of financial products to Tanzanians.
“At the end of last year we launched NBC Business Clubs which targeted our customers operating small and medium scale enterprises, so far these customers have been enjoying fast service delivery at our branches while paying low interest rates and a trimmed-down loan approval time,” he said.
The NBC chief executive also pointed out that the bank’s other popular product categories in the market include: insurance, business loans, point of sale services, cash deposit machines, online banking, mobile banking and group accounts.
“We thank our customers, we would not have made it to our current prestige had it not been for a clientele that remained loyal to and stood with us unwaveringly for the past 50 years. We are obliged to, and shall always reciprocate this devotion by reaching out to our customers with services that match their expectations,” the Managing Director noted.
On his part, NBC Head of Retail Banking, Filbert Mponzi said the bank is poised to reclaim and consolidate its former glory, as witnessed by the recent launch of ‘Karibu Nyumbani’, a service that aims at returning most of its former customers.
Mponzi’s observation was backed by the bank’s Head of SMEs and Business Banking, Elvis Ndunguru who said the commercial section is well-aligned and on track to keep improving its products.
Ndunguru cited some of the innovative products aimed at easing delivery of services to clients as introduction of card-based payment system (POS) which has been deployed countrywide.
