PM urges Tanzanians to maintain peace, tranquility

PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has called on Tanzanians to maintain peace, love and unity as the country continues to receive results of the Wednesday’s General Election .

On October 28th, Tanzanians voted to elect the Union president, Members of Parliament and Councilors. Election results are still announced by the National Electoral Commission (NEC).

The Premier made the call on Thursday when addressing Muslims during the Maulid Day at the Karimjee hall in Dar es Salaam.

“We are responsible of protecting the country peace as well as maintaining unity. We have for many years lived as neighbours, friends and relatives. As we enjoy the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, we should also listen to advices from religious leaders on the correct conduct of the Prophet Muhammad which emphasizes on peace,” said the Prime Minister.
