Three die in Korogwe road accident

THREE people died on the spot and one seriously injured in a road accident in Korogwe District, Tanga Region.
Regional Police Commander, Benedict Michael confirmed the accident, saying it occurred at Makwela village, Vugili ward in Korogwe District.

The RPC said that the accident involved a car with registration numbers STL 807, the property of TANROAD in Tanga, which was heading to Tanga from Bungu. The car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep valley.

The regional police chief named those who died in the accident as Eliapenda Edward (33), Noel Madora (22) and Twaha Chande (49) all employees of TANROAD .

He explained that one person who was the driver was seriously injured in the road accident. He named the driver as Juma Nassoro.
He was rushed to Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam for further treatment.

In addition, the Police Commander said investigation was ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.

The secretary of CCM in Muheza District Makame Seif, who is the drivers’ relative expressed his gratitude for the councilor Bungu in Korogwe District for taking the deceased persons to Magunga hospital mortuary in the distrcit.
