Handing over the donation over the weekend, TTCL acting executive director Waziri Kindamba said the drugs that were donated include paracetamol,syrup, ,diclofenac and amoxilin.
He said apart from the drugs, the company also donated bandages, gloves which will help patients who receive treatment at the facility.
“We believe that the support that we have given today will be used for the intended purpose and will also help to rescue the drug shortage crisis at this centre,” he said.
He called upon other public institutions to embrace the spirit and support the provision of social services to create better relations with communities surrounding them.
In his remarks, the Kinondoni DC said donation will go a long way into improving the services at the facility.
“The efforts to bring services closer to the people are important especially at this time when the fifth phase government through President John Magufuli is committed towards improving common people’s lives,” said Hapi.
The DC called upon the leadership of the health centre to oversee the effective use of the drugs so that they can be used for the intended goals.
