Simba through, Yanga face Rangers

A Hamis Kiiza brace enabled Simba to qualify for the Federation Cup fourth round when they beat Burkinafaso 3-0 in a third round tie at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro yesterday.

Hamis Kiiza

This is the third win in a row for caretaker coach Jackson Mayanja since he took the team from Dylan Kerr.
Simba had to wait until the 77th minute when Kiiza connected home an Abdi Banda cross to register the first goal.
Said Ndemla scored the second in the 90th minute before Kiiza added the third goal through a well taken penalty in injury time. Referee Andrew Shamba awarded a penalty to Simba when a Burkinafaso play roughed Ndemla in the danger zone.
The tournament continues today when Mainland Premier League defending champions and current league leaders, Young Africans, welcome Friends Rangers at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
