AAT awards journalists for motorsport coverage

The award presentation was held at the Southern Sun hotel in Dar es Salaam as National Sports Council’s secretary general Mohamed Kiganja and Deputy Director of InformationZamaradiKawawa prevailed as guests of honour.

Kawawa represented the newly appointed Director of Information Hassan Abbas to present certificates and tokens of appreciation to award winners.

The AAT chief executive officer Yusuf Ghor and his president NizarJivani said the awards were set aside as appreciation for voluntary contribution inassisting the ARC event, which was held successfully and for sensitising the public through the press on road safety and motorsports promotion.

Kiganja hailed AAT for the initiative to recognise contribution by media and other people who helped to make the event a success. He urged other sports bodies to emulate AAT in recognising efforts taken by members of the media in motorsport promotion.During the event ACP FortunatusMuslimu represented DCP Mohamed Mpinga.
