Azam duo join Simba
  • Simba have signed two players on loan from Azam FC.

Azam FC spokesman Jafary Iddi named the players as goalie Mwadini Ali and striker Ame Ali ‘Zungu’ both from Zanzibar.
He said that Simba officials had asked Azam FC to release the duo on loan to play for the Msimbazi Street side.

The players are expected to join the team in Morogoro on Monday.They are among players who will be introduced on Simba Day set to be marked on August 8 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the source said yesterday.

Last week, Simba brought two players from the Democratic Republic of Congo for trials.They are midfielder Sanga Bahende and striker Cedrick Masanga both from Lubumbashi-based FC Lupopo.The duo makes foreign players who have come to do trials with Simba reach seven.

Others who came earlier are Zimbabwean defender Method Mwanjali and Janvier Besala Bokungu, midfielder Mussa Ndusha (DRC), striker Frederick Blagnon (Ivory Coast) and Ndjack Anong and Guy Serges (Cameroon).Simba are currently camping in Morogoro to prepare for the coming Mainland Premier League.

The team have also recruited Muzamil Yassin from Mtibwa Sugar along with Mohamed ‘Mo’ Ibrahim, Shizza Kichuya and Jamal Mnyate (Mwadui FC).

Others newcomers are Moses Chibandu, Said Mussa, Kelvin Falu and Vincent Costa.Players who club have maintained are Mussa Hassan Mgosi, Juuko Murshid, Vincent Angban, Awadh Juma, Said Ndemla, Peter Mwalyanzi, Peter Manyika, Dennis Richard, Mohammed Hussein ‘Tshabalala’, Hijja Ugando, Novatus Lufunga, Mwinyi Kazimoto, Danny Lyanga and Ibrahim Hajib.
