Azam fired up for Bidvest tie

Azam FC are expected to use their home ground well to tame underdogs Bidvest Wits of South Africa when they meet in a CAF Confederation Cup first round, return leg match at Chamazi Complex in Dar es Salaam this afternoon.

The team trained by Stewart Hall will need any kind of draw to qualify for the second round of the continental competition.

Bidvest Wits succumbed to a 0-3 defeat against Azam in the first-leg match played at the Bidvest Stadium last Saturday.

Coach Hall said yesterday that his boys were in good shape to meet the visitors and his squad will not be changed much.

“We are going to use the same squad which won in South Africa. We may change it depending on the mood of the game,” the coach said.

The Dar es Salaam side will depend on strikers John Bocco, Kipre Tchetche, Farid Musa, Mudhathir Yahya, Himid Mao and Salum Abubakar to sink the visitors.
