Motanenga noted the troupe is now staging entertainment at various hotels in Dodoma.
Speaking in an interview, the musician stated his troupe, Athanas Motanenga, is made up of four musicians and that it plays various local and foreign songs.
Motanenga stated: "I've been in Dodoma for about two years now and I continue to entertain with my band.''
''I'm performing with Abdallah 'Dullah Ngoma' playing the trumpet, 'Junior Fleva' singing and playing the piano, along with 'Smoker' who plays the guitar," Motanenga noted.
He pointed out that some of the songs that his group has been playing are the ones he sang with the band Bambino, formed by 'Banza Stone', and former Extra Bongo troupe leader, Ally Choki.
"I was introduced to 'Banza Stone' and became one of the founders of Bambino Band and then I went to Choki's Extra Bongo, so I have composed a lot of songs for those bands," he said.
He said that in addition to playing copy songs, he has started recording songs for his group, some of which are 'Nafsi', 'King'aacho', 'Neno', adding he has already recorded them.
"Fans love copy songs, but I also saw the need to prepare more, as I plan to continue to strengthen the group so that it can later become a full band," he said.
He said he has found many music stakeholders in Dodoma, who support him, and that he has no plans to relocate, as dance music has many fans in other regions.
