GEITA Gold FC is confident that the Tanzania Football Federation, TFF will endorse their premier league promotion.
The Geita-based team is already planning for life in the top flight next season.

They plan to bolster their squad with experienced players in order to compete for honours in the league.

The team’s media officer, Teru Yusuph Mpeka said that they have begun plans for next season which include signing two players from South African football giants, Kaizer Chiefs.

“We have started planning for next season. We aim to sign experienced players including two from Kaizer Chiefs, “said the official.

The club sponsor, a mining company operating in several African countries has promised to back the team financially and ensure needed quality signings are injected into the squad.

“It is the club and sponsors’ wish to recruit players who will help us to compete with other premier league opponents next season”, added Mpeka.

Coached by former Simba assistant coach, Selemani Matola, Geita Gold promotion has not been confirmed by TFF after suspicion of match-fixing in the Group C First Division final matches.

Both Geita Gold and Police Tabora whose promotion depended on goal difference won by 8-0 and 7-0, respectively, in their last matches.
