Golfers to pay Mwaibanje last respect in Boko

DAR ES SALAAM golfers are expected to pay their last respect to partner Elia Mwaibanje who died of heart complications on Saturday.

The 70 plus golfer who dedicated all of his amateur playing career at the Dares salaam Gymkhana Club since the 1980’s, his body will be transported for funeral in Kyela.

The mass will be held at the Lutheran Church in Boko, on the northern outskirts of the Dar es Salaam City starting from noon.

The burly golfer who frequented Dar Gymkhana Club course with incredible turn outs, used golf as his most loved sport throughout his life after quitting squash at the same club.

Famous for attending ‘hole number 19’ soon after playing a round of golf almost four to five times a week, Mwaibanje is remembered for his social interactions that brought him galore of friends.The former banker served the club in several posts particularly for golf section.
