THE government is expected to launch a program known as ‘stakeholders let’s talk’ in Dar es Salaam next week in a bid to promote sports, arts culture and information in the country.
Speaking in the city yesterday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Elisante Ole Gabriel, said the program he will be one of the officials that will grace the launch.
Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Nape Nnauye, his deputy Anastanzia Wambura, and Gabriel’s deputy, Nuru Millao, are the other officials that will attend the launch.
Gabriel said the launch of the program is in line with Nnauye’s directive that the ministry should go out and meet stakeholders instead of issuing directives from the office.
He said the program gears towards seeing to it that sports, arts, culture and information activities are reaching out to the people.
The first week of every month, he said, will see stakeholders discuss information, the second week will focus on culture, whereas the remaining two weeks will be for arts and sports respectively.
“The aim is to involve stakeholders in the mentioned fields, this will create a platform for all stakeholders to discuss on how we can improve the sectors under this ministry. We ask all stakeholders in the sectors to be with us so that we can achieve our goals,” he said.
