Kapombe threat to strikers, says Hall

Azam FC defender Shomari Kapombe has of late been a challenge to the team’s strikers.

The former Simba defender has been scoring many goals than other strikers in the team.

Kapombe is one of the top scorers in Azam FC, having scored eight goals in the Mainland Premier League, the same as striker John Bocco. Striker Kipre Tchetche follows them with seven goals.

Kapombe also scored two goals for his team in the Federation Cup quarterfinal match against Tanzania Prisons of Mbeya in the match which they won 3-1 on Thursaday, and qualified for the semi final.

Kapombe has scored more goals in the side that any other defender.

Azam head coach Stewart Hall says Kapombe is an exceptional defender who compares with strikers or defenders, overlapping and creating room for goals like no other defender in the Mainland Premier League.
