In the condolence, Karia has described the late Tamimu as one of sportsmen who offered immense contribution to soccer development domestically, particularly in the Isles.
“It is obvious that Tamimu has offered immense contribution to the sport’s development particularly in Zanzibar, where he had been the sport’s official for several years,” he said.
“I send condolences to Tamimu’s family, relatives, friends and ZFA, a body he had served at the top position.”
He noted TFF joins sports persons in the country and the family of the departed in this difficult moment.
Tamimu had, in his life, served as an official of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) in various committees.
He was buried at Mwanakwerekwe cemetery in Zanzibar yesterday evening.
