The accident ruled him out of both legs in the Confederation Cup Group ‘A’ matches against Medeama of Ghana. Yanga drew 1-1 in the first leg match played at the National stadium in Dar es Salaam before going down 1-3 in the return leg match in Ghana.
Kaseke has recovered and he is now training for the team’s next Confederation Cup against Mouloudia Olympique Bejaia set for August 13 at the National Stadium.
The team’s coach Hans van der Pluijm gave him light training hoping that he will be fit for their next continental fixture.
Yanga returned to Dar es Salaam on Thursday from Ghana where they lost 1-3 in the match staged on Tuesday.It was the third defeat for Yanga out of four matches in the group stage tourney.
They lost 0-1 against MO Bejaia in Algeria and TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo, this time in Dar es Salaam.
TP Mazembe lead the group with 10 points followed by Bejaia and Medeama who tie on five points each. Yanga are placed at the bottom with one point.
