Signs that Kasulo were in for a painful suffering appeared early in the derby when uncompromising Bombom strikers kept on attacking, resulting in numerous near misses just in the opening minute of the game.
Bombom strikers Jamal Abdul and Saimoni Kazuya will remain etched in the mind of Kasulo defenders having kept them on their toes throughout 90 minutes.
The duo scored hat-trick each, earning their team six goals. Other goals were scored by Masudi Hassan (two) while Abubakari Said, Kishema Juma and Elia Nahdi notched a goal each.
The consolation goal for ailing Kasulo came deep into stoppage time through Anuari Amori but did not fetch any applause as the team’s dejected supporters who seemed to be deep in agony following the unbearable and record humiliating defeat.
This is the second time in a period of less than two days that Kasulo has suffered, having been exposed to an equally humiliating 9-1 pounding at the hands of Ilala Boys at Karume Memorial Stadium on Sunday. The two heavy defeats have virtually bundled the team out of contention for the Ilala champions’ trophy.
In another match played at the same venue earlier, JMK Park labored to beat Vijana Rangers 3-2 in a much more thrilling and competitive match which was attended by a good number of spectators.
JKM Park harvested their goals through Marco Gerald who found the back of the net in the 15th minute, before Agiri Ngoda outraced Vijana Rangers defenders to score the second goal with a sizzling drive.
The third goal for victors was scored by Kapanga Jumanne in the 46 minute. Vijana Rangers scored their goals through Sefu Kwembe (11th minute) and Ramadhani Abubakari (29th minute).
Another Airtel Rising Stars match which opened the tournament in Temeke football region brought together Carpet FC and Kigamboni Soccer Academy which resulted in 3-1 in favor of Carpet FC. The tournament rages on today with matches in Ilala, Temeke, Kinondoni and Mwanza.
