Kichuya keeps record as Yanga, Simba draw

Shiza Kichuya maintained his scoring record against Young Africans SC when he scored the Simba goal in their Mainland Premier League match which ended 1-1 at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, yesterday.

Kichuya who joined Simba from Mtibwa Sugar has never missed to score for Simba in a match against Yanga.

Yesterday’s goal was his third in those derbies. He first scored in another 1-1 draw and again scored in the match which Simba came from behind to win 2-1.

In yesterday’s encounter he coordinated well with Haruna Niyonzima and Erasto Nyoni to score the goal in the 57th minute before Obrey Chirwa levelled for Yanga in the 60th minute after coordinating well with Gadiel Michael and Ibrahim Ajib.

Yanga missed a goal in the 72nd minute when Emmanuel Martin outpaced Simba defenders and remained with goalie Aishi Manula who saved the danger.

Simba, Yanga and Azam FC tie on 16 points each but the Msimbazi Street side lead the 16-team standing with  goal difference advantage.
