KMC FC to benefit from head coach's presence

KINONDONI Municipal Council FC has officially started preparations for another NBC Premier League fixture against Geita Gold FC which will be played at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) Football Club.

The Dar es Salaam-based club aims to bounce back from its awful game in the domestic top flight's early stages.

KMC FC had notched only one win from seven clashes in the league, losing three games and settling for a draw in four.

The team's woes began early this season due to the absence of head coach John Simkoko who was out due to health conditions.

Assistant coach, Habib Kondo, attended a coaching course, but now with their return on the touchline, they aim to put impressive displays.

Preparations' plans were revealed by Information and Communication Officer, Christina Mwagala.

Christina noted: "KMC FC is the fixture's host, the side has started training early Tuesday after returning to Dar es Salaam on Sunday from Mbeya where it locked hor with Mbeya City FC, registering 2-2 draw.''

"In preparation, the outfit, under John Simkoko's tutelage, is going to strengthen to ensure that it notches three points."

She added: ''KMC FC needs to get good results at home despite having to face a team that is the best and most competitive.

''With preparations that are going to be done, the team will bring positive results."

"In our last game we did not get what we needed in the sense of victory, but the results did not discourage us, the outcome instead challenged us to continue to put ourselves in a better position to play at home.''

"For us, as a team, we need to do well in the games we play, we are still fighting to excel in all the games ahead of us," the official explained.

KMC FC had been struggling in defense of late, with the team failing to keep a clean sheet in its six league games out of seven.

The club moreover needs a balance offensively and defensively to get wins.
