The duel, which took place at Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC) venue, saw Dar Black Panthers go in to bat first and score 95 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

Opener Imrankhan Pathan put several good knocks to show early on as Dar Black Panthers sought to get off to a good start in their innings.

Pathan recorded 15 runs which consisted of three fours.

The team's pursuit of a good total was then dealt a blow, as top order batsmen Mahesh Soneji and Shahab Ahmad succumbed to early dismissals.

Prasad Baraskar and Munish Kumar thereafter gave their all in an effort to give their squad a much needed boost, posting 17 runs and 14 runs respectively.

Kumar's spell saw the batsman notch two fours.

Middle order batsman Gurvinder Singh was ultimately the one with the best innings, he scored 26 runs which consisted of three fours.

Masood Khan chipped in with not out performance, notching nine runs not out

The K&P Constructions squad's Shaik Abdul Shaheel and skipper Lakshmikanth Sukavasi took two wickets apiece as their squad sought to prevent their opponents from ending with a bigger total.

Needing 96 runs to notch victory, K&P Constructions side hardly wasted time, posting 97 runs for the loss of five wickets in 15.3 overs to grab the victory.

Opener Hema Suryakant Mullapudi made certain of the squad's victory, putting solid showing at the crease.

Mullapudi notched 51 runs, which turned out to be the most impressive displays in the clash.

He was in the end voted as the man of the match because of his batting exploits.

Fellow opener, Naga Gurijala, and Suman Emuru chipped in with 15 runs and 13 runs respectively.

Shaik Abdul Shaheel was two runs short of two-dgit figure, his exit, nevertheless, could not frustrate the chase.

The K&P Constructions squad, consequently, bounced back from four-wicket loss to Annadil Burhani Club in a clash played on March 14.

The victory over Dar Black Panthers has helped K&P Constructions squad continue leading the rest of the pack in Division C, having recorded six points from three wins and one loss.

Second-placed Annadil Burhani are two points below the group leaders, given the former have notched victory in two outings and lost one match.

Patel Brotherhood and Dar Black Panthers are placed third and fourth respectively, with both squads having recorded victory in one match.

Patel Brotherhood have a better net run rate, given they have posted 0.1021 from 199 runs scored and 215 runs conceded, whilst Dar Black Panthers have -0.6186 in net run rate.

Alaf Aces B team are positioned at the bottom of the group with no win in two outings.
