Nairobi-based soccer academy to visit Dar

NAIROBI-based Green Sports Academy is expected to visit Azam FC in Dar es Salaam with effect from December 20 to play friendly matches.

The academy teams of various ages are lined up to play friendlies within five days before travelling back home on the event of the X-mass day.

Green Sports will come with football teams of four age categories from 13, 15, 18 and 21 which will play matches for three consecutive days from December 22 against their hosts.
The academy’s management through their director Stephen Ochiel Otieno, has expressed sincere appreciation to Azam FC for accepting their sporting entourage.

Otieno said the pending tour will be inspirational to the young generation of players who would experience competitive soccer at international level.

He said the Nairobi academy is pleased to extend cooperation with their counterparts in Dar es Salaam as a move to intensify relationship.

The anticipated visit by the academy in Nairobi will be the second this year after Azam hosted two other teams from East Africa, Uganda’s Football For Good Academy and another Academy from Kenya that featured in the Azam Youth Cup mini league won by the hosts in June.
