Prisons halt Yanga

Defending champions Young Africans SC failed to go top when Tanzania Prisons forced them to 1-1 draw in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Yanga hosted Prisons in a Mainland Premier League match played at the Azam Complex, Chamazi in Dar es Salaam.

The visitors scored first in the 10th minute through Eliuter Mpepo who beat the two Yanga defenders to place the ball into the net.

Raphael Daudi used an Ibrahim Ajibu corner to level for Yanga in the 42nd minute.

Yanga still remain in third place with 21 points while Prisons have 15 points.

Simba lead with 22 points followed by Azam FC who have the same points but differ on goal aggregate. The two have a game at hand, slated for today for Simba and tomorrow for Azam FC.
