Simba in historic AGM

Simba SC stage their annual general meeting at the Police Officers’ Mess, Oysterbay in Dar es Salaam today.

The meeting will among other things decide whether the club will continue using current administration system or change it to go with modern commercial methods.

The special committee which was formed by club president Evans Aveva to propose how the team can be managed will present their report to the members for a decision.

City business tycoon Mohamed Dewji on Friday said if the administration system will be changed and turn the club into a limited liability company, he will buy a majority share stake of 51 percent for 20 billion/-.He said he will also invest 5.5 billion/- for the coming Mainland Premier League season, for a start.

He said the change will make the team stand financially above Young Africans SC and Azam FC which have of late dominated the local premier league.
