Simba, JKT in revenge match

Simba SC host JKT Ruvu at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam in a Mainland Premier League match today.

It is going to be a tough game as the home side will be fighting to revenge a 2-1 hiding by the armed forces side in their last season last game played on the same ground. This will be Simba’s second game after defeating Ndanda FC 3-1 in their first match staged on the ground last Saturday.

It will by contrast be the first game for JKT Ruvu who were earlier scheduled to play Young Africans SC but their game was rescheduled to allow the defending champions compete in the CAF Confederation Cup Group ‘A’ match against TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

JKT Ruvu and Yanga are the only teams which were not in action when the league kicked off last weekend.
Simba head coach Joseph Omog is expected to field keen strikers to stretch more to score goals even after posting a convincing win in the Ndanda game.

The Cameroonian tactician will likely start strikers Laudit Mavugo, Fredrick Blagnon, Shiza Kichuya and Ibrahim Ajib.
Another match to watch brings Azam FC and Majimaji of Songea at the Azam Complex, Chamazi.

Azam FC have to work hard to win the match after drawing 1-1 gainst the newly-promoted African Lyon.
Majimaji were beaten 1-0 by Tanzania Prisons in their first game.

Other matches are Mwadui FC visiting new-promoted Mbao FC at the Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
Mwadui, trained by Jamhuri Kihwelu lost 0-1 to Toto Africans in their first game played on the same ground.
Mbao had a goalless draw at Stand United home ground, Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga.

Other games on the menu are Stand United hosting Kagera Sugar at Kambarage Stadium while Mtibwa Sugar welcome Ndanda FC at Manungu ground, Turiani.
