Simba meet Police Moro in pre-season tie

POLICE Morogoro host visiting Simba at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro in one of the matches the latter’s Cameroon coach Joseph Omog would test his players.

It will be an encounter that would be used as a stage for Simba’s foreign and domestic-based players to showcase their prowess ahead of the new premiership season next month.

Omg said he has been highly impressed by the domestic-based players throughout the camping of the team that started early this month.

He said foreigners have the opportunity to display their skills and they should edge the locals to win final squad selection to gear up for the premiership season.

Omog has already offloaded four foreigners who came in the country to seek greener pastures. His strong purge surprisingly left intact Simba skipper Musa Hassan Mgosi who has earned another extension at the club as a reliable player.

The Cameroonian coach who previously used to train Azam, has been appointed by Simba since the beginning of the month. Simba have lined up another pre-season friendly after today’s game to shape up their squad.

The Dar es Salaam club ended the previous season as third-placed and it has been the same feat for the past four consecutive season, trailing Young Africans and Azam in the final league standings.
