The Msimbazi Street outfit has progressed to the Group Stage of this season's CAF Confederation Cup, knocking Zamia's Red Arrows FC out of additional second preliminary round with 4-2 aggregate win.
Simba SC's Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Gonzalez, pointed out they are waiting for a report from head coach, Pablo Martin Franco, to see what they should do to strengthen the clu.
Barbara said they aim to defend the NBC Premier League title as well as do well in CAF Confederation Cup this season so they must have a competitive squad.
"The domestic league has been tough and competitive, but internationally there is a lot of competition, we want to see Simba excel, we have to admit there are some shortcomings in the team.''
''We are waiting for our coach's report. Martin will present it this week so we can see what we should do to strengthen our team, we must make tough decisions,'' Barbara noted.
The official said coach Martin has promised to submit his report this week including suggestions on what can be done to strengthen the team's squad.
The leader revealed after witnessing the team qualify for the Group Stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, they are now focusing on their next Premier League game against Yanga.
Simba SC will host Yanga in the match which will be played on Saturday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The game is expected to be a highly contested affair considering the teams are only two points adrift of each other the league standings.
The clash winners will be guaranteed to take the first place.
