Spirited Simba face Ruvu Shooting

Defending champions Simba are eyeing to extend their winning streak when they play Ruvu Shooting in a Tanzania Premier League match at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam tonight.

Ruvu Shooting of Mlandinzi in Coast Region are using the National Stadium as home ground when playing top sides Simba and Yanga as they have many fans and supporters in the league.

Home matches with other premier league sides will still be played at their base, Mabatini ground in Mlandizi.

Simba will fight to post a record of four wins in a row after drawing goalless with archrivals Yanga.

They defeated African Lyon 2-1 before crushing Stand United 3-0 and Alliance FC 5-1 in their latest win.

Patrick Aussems, the Simba head coach believes his players have improved a lot and he expects them to win with a wider margin.

The Belgian tactician is expected to field the first team selection that the fans usually anticipate.

The more avowedly expected frontline players are Cletus Chama, Emmanuel Okwi, John Bocco, Shiza Kichuya and Meddie Kagere.

Simba currently have 20 points while Ruvu Shooting have 13 points.

Other matches on the menu today are Alliance FC of Mwanza hosting Coastal Union at the Kirumba Stadium, while Singida United invite Azam FC at the Namfua ground.

JKT Tanzania host Tanzania Prisons at Major General Isamuhyo grounds in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam, as Mtibwa Sugar welcome Kagera Sugar at the Manungu Complex in Turiani.
