The Tanzania side reached this stage after emerging winners of Group ‘A’ which also comprised Angola, Mauritius and Malawi.

The Stars assistant coach, Novatus Fulgence, said yesterday that they had prepared well for the match billed to be tough, and that his team know the importance of the game.

“It is an important match because apart from the pressure to win, our players will be seen across the continent and beyond as the game will be televised live.

“Soccer agents will use the game for players’ scouting,” the coach said, noting that Bafana Bafana was at times a world class team but that will not dent the confidence of his players.Taifa Stars will use the game to prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match meant for home-based players.

They are set to date Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars in the CHAN first leg match to be held in Kigali on July 14 before meeting in the return in Dar es Salaam a week later.Meanwhile, Stars lethal striker Shiza Kichuya is vying for the golden boot together with Zimbabwean Ovidy Obvious Karuru in the Cosafa Cup.

The Simba SC striker and Karuru who turns for South African first division league AmaZulu have so far scored two goals each.
