Tigo Fiesta 2018 Grand Finale to honour all champions

THE grand finale of the Tigo Fiesta 2018 – Vibe Kama Lote will honour all the champions of this successful season as the annual concert revs up for its climax, which will be held at the Posta grounds at Kijitonyama in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.

“We would like to thank everyone who has been part of the success of the Tigo Fiesta 2018 – Vibe Kama Lote season, starting with the fans from across all the 14 regions of the country and beyond, who came out in large numbers to support our local artistes,” Tigo’s Head of Marketing Services, William Mpinga, told journalists at a press conference yesterday.

The coordinator of the fiesta, Gardner Habash, added: “With local vibes, this year’s Tigo Fiesta – Vibe Kama Lote season has delivered on its promise to raise the bar of local music performances and act as a springboard to catapult local artistes to international fame.”

He as well thanked all fans across the country for waiting patiently for the concert.

He noted that entrepreneurs and government officials in all regions that were part of this year’s festival had acknowledged the vital boost that the Tigo Fiesta 2018 season has provided to the economies of the regions.

“We want to thank all government officials and the big, small and mid-sized businesses including hotels and guest houses, formal and informal restaurants, shop owners, entertainment spots, transport operators, providers of ancillary services and other champions who provided support that led to the success of this season,” Habash said.

Along with the pulsating live performances by local artistes, leading digital lifestyle company Tigo has revealed exciting offers that are billed to add an extra shine to the experience of thousands of enthralled music fans that are expected to throng the finale of East and Central Africa’s biggest music and cultural event in Dar es Salaam.

The offer is also open to users of other networks who can use the regular steps required to send money in their particular network.

Now in its 17th year, the illustrious Tigo Fiesta 2018 – Vibe Kama Lote music and cultural festival has toured 14 towns and regions of the country including Morogoro, Sumbawanga, Iringa, Singida, Songea, Mtwara, Moshi, Tanga, Muleba, Kahama, Mwanza, Musoma, Arusha and Dodoma.

According to Habash, gates to the season finale in Dar es Salaam will open at 6pm.
