Athletics Tanzania (AT) secretary general, Wilhelm Gidabuday, said the course has been organized by TOC with funding from the Olympic Solidarity.
He thanked the committee for the clinic, which he said will help to promote the sport in the country.
“We really thank TOC for the course. It has come at a time the country is in need of qualified trainers of the sport so that they can develop the game from grassroots,” he said.
He challenged coaches, who will attend the course, to utilize the skills for the development of the sport in the country.
Gidabuday said AT will use the coaches, who will graduate from the course, in drilling young athletes.
“We will work closely with the coaches, we are aiming at producing top athletes who can represent the country in international events,” he said.
“We want them to be involved in unearthing talents, train the talents and make them big athletes for the country.”
