Tiboroha quits Yanga hot seat

Young Africans SC secretary general Dr. Jonas Tiboroha has resigned via a letter submitted to club officials yesterday.

Dr. Jonas Tiboroha

Tiboroha said he had resigned to concentrate on his lecturing job at the University of Dar es Salaam.
“I am a Physical Education (PE) lecturer at the university. I have resigned in order to serve well my employer,” he explained.
However, informed sources within the club affirmed that Tiboroha resigned because he had lost confidence in the club’s competition committee chairman Isaac Chanji.
Tiboroha when asked about the claims of bad relationship with Chanji said that what he wrote in his resignation letter was the core cause. “I have left the chance for those who can lead Yanga well to do,” he insisted.
However, according to Bin Zubeiry Sports- Online, Chanji said that he had no problem with Tiboroha but the former secretary-general was not performing his work well.
Chanji said that Tiboroha resigned because of specific allegations raised against him, in which case the matter of resignation was cooking for a long date.
Chanji indicated that the secretary general had employed people without the approval of the executive committee and had similarly travelled to Ghana to attend a Fifa seminar, again without due approval.
Tiboroha joined club leadership ranks in December 2014, replacing Benno Njovu.
