BONITE Bottlers has provided humanitarian aid in the form of food and mattresses to victims of floods in Kilimanjaro Region.

Speaking during the handover ceremony here yesterday, head of sales and marketing at Bonite Bottlers Christopher Loiruk said the donation included 500 cartons of the company’s popular brand of Kilimanjaro drinking water, beans, maize flour, rice and mattresses.

The items were handed over to Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner Nurdin Babu by Loiruk who was accompanied by human resources officer at Bonite Bottlers Joyce Sangoda.

“On behalf of Bonite Bottlers, we have provided various food items and mattresses to flood victims in Moshi Rural, Mwanga and Same districts,” Loiruk said.

Babu thanked the company for contributing humanitarian support which he said would give huge relief to flood victims.

“As you all know this humanitarian support from Bonite Bottlers comes at the right time as some areas in Moshi Municipal Council including Msaranga and Mjimpya wards as well as Mabogini ward in Moshi rural have more than 2,000 flood victims who need humanitarian support,” he said.

He thanked all individuals, companies and other stakeholders who provide humanitarian support to flood victims, adding that his office in collaboration with the district commissioner’s office will make sure that all donations go directly to the right people.
