IN a strategic move to fortify its administrative core, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), meticulously filled various pivotal roles within its secretariat, ushering in a new era of leadership and vision.

Notably, John Mongella, esteemed for his tenure as the former Arusha RC, assumes the critical position of the party’s deputy secretary general (mainland), embodying a seamless blend of experience and foresight.

A resounding statement released today, April 3, 2024, by the NEC’s department for ideology, publicity, and training, heralds Mongella's ascent, marking a strategic succession plan as he steps into the shoes of Anamringi Macha, who now assumes the distinguished mantle of Shinyanga RC.

Simultaneously, the statement reveals another pivotal appointment, with former Mwanza RC, Amos Makalla, assuming the pivotal role of NEC’s secretary responsible for ideology, publicity, and training. This significant appointment, previously held by Paul Makonda, now Arusha RC.

Furthermore, the announcement heralds Ally Hapi's appointment as CCM Parents Wing general secretary, filling the void left by Gilbert Kalima's transition to Mkinga District Commissioner.

In a parallel narrative, the statement unveils Jokate Mwegelo's appointment as the new CCM Youth Wing general secretary, succeeding Fakii Lulandala, now entrusted with the mantle of Simanjiro District Commissioner.

Moreover, NEC extends its resounding applause to both the union and isle governments, helmed by Samia Suluhu Hassan and Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, respectively.

NEC believes that their exemplary leadership and steadfast adherence to the party’s 2020/2025 manifesto have yielded remarkable progress, solidifying CCM's position as a trailblazer in shaping Tanzania's socio-political landscape.
