President Samia Suluhu Hassan has pledged to continue accelerating the development of an inclusive, competitive and digital economy on the basis of industrial, economic services and resources facilitation.

The President made the remarks in Dar es Salaam today May 9, 2024 when launching a Truck and Tipper Assembly Plant Saturn Corporation Limited, located in Kigamboni District, Dar es Salaam.

President Samia explained that the industrial sector has facilitated productions and employments, essential attributes that has led into inclusive economy and poverty alleviation.

According to President Samia, the government has cut corporate tax from 30 to 10 percent in five years, as an incentive to boost more investments in the industrial sector.

On the other hand, the Head of State said the launched company acts as a catalyst for industrial development, as it uses 80 percent of glass produced locally.

“The use of goods produced in the country eventually reduced production cost of car manufacturing companies as well as increasing the national income,” she said.

The President added: “The company will create 250 direct and 1,800 indirect employment opportunities which will boost money circulations, government revenue and animate technology”.
